Acupuncture is a collection of procedures involving penetration of the skin with needles to stimulate certain points on the body. Stimulating specific acupuncture points corrects imbalances in the flow of qi through channels known as meridians. Kinesiology

Dr. Jacob Ceccanese spent most of his childhood and adolescent years growing up in the York Region, playing both competitive hockey and soccer. Through his love of sports, he developed a passion for sports medicine and rehabilitation. He began his pursuit for a career in health care at the University of Guelph-Humber, where he studied Kinesiology. After graduating with honours, Dr. Jacob pursued to further his education by completing the four-year Doctor of Chiropractic program at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto.

Dr. Jacob utilizes a holistic approach to manual therapy and movement with all patients. His belief is finding the root cause of one’s pain or dysfunction to provide a higher level of care with lasting results. He can utilize the appropriate intervention to help you move and feel better through a systematic approach. Integrating his 8 years of experience with personal training and sports conditioning before becoming a chiropractor, he understands the value of movement and the importance of incorporating active approaches to care.

Dr. Helen Kwa graduated from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) in Toronto in 2003. She furthered her training by completing the Clinical Acupuncture course offered through CMCC continuing education and the McMaster Contemporary Medical Acupuncture Program. Her treatments include soft tissue techniques (Active Release Technique), diversified technique, kinesiotaping, custom orthotics, compression stockings and the use of the Activator on joints. She is a member of the Ontario Chiropractic Association and the Canadian Chiropractic Association. Dr. Kwa is in good standing with the College of Chiropractors of Ontario.

Stephanie has been working with the general public since 2013, after graduating from Massage therapy at Humber college. Starting her 10 year career off as a registered massage therapist and working in a variety of different clinics, she gained extensive experience with varying populations, conditions, injuries, chronic and acute circumstances to ease the body into comfort, balance and stability. Furthering her career, she embarked on finding better, more efficient ways to treat the body and started studying the practice of Osteopathic Manual therapy at the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy (CAO), in Hamilton Ontario. She completed a five year program and graduated from Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, one of the top TCM universities in China, with a bachelor’s degree of medicine in 1991. Awarded the honor educated student, she was invited to work in the university hospital as a Combination of Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine doctor.
